The municipal elementary school in Fisksätra, east of Stockholm, has suffered from few applicants for serveral years. In September, Stena Real Estate bought the school from the municipality. The acquisition of the
elementary school building is unique in the company's history, and is part of the work to strengthen the whole of Fisksätra. In the autumn of 2021, the school opens again – with the Viktor Rydberg Foundation as principal.
MASTHUGGSKAJEN GETS NEW LIFE
In May, the first sod for Masthuggskajen in Gothenburg was taken. The work of creating a completely new living district right next to the river Göta Älv is one of Stena Fastigheter’s largest and most recognized urban development projects ever. And it is done on classical Stena land.

Six summer workers - four weeks - one mission!
This year Stena Fastigheter launched a new summer initiative that challenges youth to undertake innovative projects and carry out their ideas. Gabriella, Ornina, Medra, Bruno, Hanna and Hanna were hired as change agents, with the task of preparing a proposal for a digital solution that would increase security and
comfort for tenants.
More summer jobs at Stena Fastigheter
Every year, Stena Fastigheter employs 300 summer workers. The jobs are offered to young people between the ages of 16 and 20 who live in Stena Fastigheter’s flats. The work they do includes taking care of the housing areas by weeding flowerbeds, painting and cleaning up storage areas. Including the summer workers recruited this year, Stena Fastigheter provided 1,500 summer jobs in five years! But the work on recruiting summer workers doesn’t stop there…
