CLYDE TRAVEL MANAGEMENT CONTINUE DOMESTIC AWARD SUCCESS DURING INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION
Clyde Travel Management – a Northern Marine Group company - has been awarded Best Large Business Travel Agent in Scotland on the same day the Company’s international operations expanded to the United States.
For the fourth consecutive year the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) has announced Clyde as best in the country, evidencing a continued quality service delivery during a phase of global growth expansion.
Having entered the Swedish market with a new Gothenburg office earlier this year, operations have now also opened in Houston, Texas – a key strategic location which further develops Clyde’s already significant service delivery to the marine, oil and gas sectors.
Commenting on the award, Paul Cronje, Director, stated: “We are delighted to pick up this award for a fourth consecutive year. In many ways, this feels the most special as it proves the Company’s longevity and standing as we approach 30 years in business.
“Our intention is to never stand still however, and we continue to improve and grow our service.”
The awards give businesses invested in the Travel and Tourism industry, such as airlines and car hire operators, the opportunity to select the best performing business travel agencies.
Paul added: “We pride ourselves on our close relationship with suppliers – airlines, airports and car rental companies – consulting closely with them as we develop our own internal systems and training; ultimately aiming to improve all our services. We believe this plays a major part in them continuing to vote for us in this award.
“My team members at Clyde should take all of the credit. They continue to work hard to maintain these supplier relationships and ensure our global customer base receives the highest standard of service and choice.”
Ken McLeod, SPAA president, said: “The annual SPAA travel awards remains one of the biggest events in the Scottish travel industry calendar and recognises those who are working so hard to support an industry which is a key driver of the nation’s economy.
“Our annual travel awards ceremony remains a testament to the commitment of our partners in the industry and is a celebration of their achievements and collaboration with other business in the sector.”
